Orlagh graduated from University of Ulster, Coleraine in 2012 with a degree in Optometry. She moved to Edinburgh and completed her College of Optometrist professional exams in 2013. She is currently studying IP (independent prescribing) at Ulster University, after successfully being awarded a bursary from Scope ophthalmics. She hopes to complete this by September 2025.

Having worked in both independent and large franchises throughout Northern Ireland and Scotland, Orlagh has gained vast knowledge and experience before deciding to establish OC Eyecare in September 2019. She has a keen interest in glaucoma, laser refractive surgery and independent prescribing. She has completed additional qualifications since graduating including:

• Professional certificate in Glaucoma (college of optometrists)

• Post-op cataract (Cardiff University)

• NI Pears (University of Ulster)
